THE TRANSFORMER BAR
The newly re-engineered Transformer Bar is a patent-pending, purpose-built, multi-function specialty barbell that allows for adjustment in the weight’s center of mass relative to the lifter’s body; changing loading mechanics, movement dynamics, and training effect. It is purpose-built for easy use in professional (athletic, clinical), commercial, and home gym settings.
The Transformer Bar features two simple adjustment mechanisms for modifying camber angle and distance from the center for a total of 24 unique angle/difficulty combinations. Durable polyurethane labels on the bar visually indicate each position (camber angle) and difficulty (distance from center). This bar was designed for easy use by individuals that have no prior experience with the bar.
The spring-pin mechanism allows for six positions with 30 degrees of variance between them. These fixed positions replicate common squat movement patterns, including:
- Hip Hinge – Ideal for good mornings and teaching hinge patterning
- Back Squat – Low Bar
- Back Squat – High Bar
- SSB – For use like a traditional safety squat bar
- Front Squat – A load, counterbalancing similar to a front squat
- Goblet Squat – Similar to a kettlebell goblet squat
The second adjustment mechanism allows for modifying the weighted sleeve position, or distance between the center of mass of the weight and the bar on the lifter’s back. The color-coded label on the weight bracket allows for easy changes to increase or decrease difficulty in any six common angle positions.

The Transformer Bar features a custom injection-molded, high-density foam core that allows for a comfortable position on the lifter’s back and much-improved durability compared to previous iterations. No carpet under-layer here, folks (those with other safety bars will understand). This foam core fits snuggly into the synthetic leather pad cover, and both can be easily removed for cleaning or replacement if necessary. The pad cover’s material choice is the best mix of reliability, aesthetics, comfort, and price that we can offer on this bar.
BENEFITS
- Improved lat engagement
- Increased stability at T/L junction (thoracolumbar junction)
- Reduced injury risk
The Transformer Bar is famous in team sport settings, allowing for variations in movement patterns while providing the safety and decreased risk of injury that only a specialty bar of this type can provide. The spring-pin mechanism ensures timely adjustment between athletes during team training sessions.
The Transformer Bar’s official load capacity is 1500lbs, although it has been load tested far beyond this figure. The weight sleeves are machined to spec, while the proprietary bracket is laser cut and fabricated in house. The Transformer Bar features locking sleeves, allowing for both horizontal and upright storage of the bar in its ready-to-lift form.

The Duffalo Bar
The Duffalo Performance Squat and Bench bar is the ultimate bar for squatting and bench pressing correctly, safely, and for performance. Every lifter could benefit from using the Duffalo Bar over a standard barbell outside of competition.
BENEFITS
Improved scapular retraction and reduces stress on the easily-irritated biceps tendon in the shoulder. Reducing this direct strain on the bicep tendon and allowing increased back rigidity + proper joint centration via scapular retraction is essential for strength and injury prevention.
Additionally, this bar can improve your ability to generate core stability due to the shoulders’ reduced mobility demands, allowing you to avoid excessive spinal extension and maintain neutrality in a back squat rack position. Many athletes and lifters report immediate improvements in their ability to brace and maintain spine neutrality.
The Duffalo Bar is slightly angled up rather than parallel because adding a minor variation to the sleeve angle could reproduce a similar center of gravity to a straight bar. Using the Duffalo Bar will feel very similar, if not identical, to a straight bar when you are squatting. You can get all the benefits of a straight bar without any downsides while also taking advantage of the Duffalo Bar’s unique benefits.
Improve IAP (Intra-Abdominal Pressure)
- Easier scapular retraction.
- Improved lat engagement as it provides a better position from which to brace and stabilize.
- Reduce Shoulder Impingement. Save your shoulders when using heavyweights.
When using the Duffalo Bar on the bench, the proprietary bends optimize the wrist angle when held in the pressing position. This positioning cues proper joint centration in the shoulder while also improving both lat and scapular engagement. It significantly reduced or eliminated shoulder pain while gaining an increased training effect from the other range of motion. These improvements groove correct pressing patterns, automatically ensuring the proper engrams are programmed.
